I am Gregory Washington, candidate for the office of Circuit Clerk. I am a graduate of Durant High School, where I graduated Valedictorian of my class. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a Master of Arts in C & I: Chemistry Education from Xavier University of Louisiana. I also hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Jackson State University in Education Administration and Supervision.

I, currently, serve as Principal, TEC HOUSE, at Starkville High School, where I was chosen as the 2022-2023 Administrator of the Year by my colleagues. As a lifelong resident of this county, I have seen firsthand the importance of having knowledgeable and dedicated individuals leading our county in various capacities. I am running for Circuit Clerk because I believe it is time for a new voice and fresh perspective in this office.

My professional background and deep commitment to this community make me an ideal candidate for the position of Circuit Clerk. I bring to the table a wealth of experience in managing complex administrative tasks, as well as a deep understanding of the important role that Circuit Clerk plays in our county's judicial system. If elected, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our courts run smoothly, efficiently and effectively.

In addition to that, I strongly believe in serving the community. I will work with different stakeholders in our county to ensure that our judicial system is reflective of the needs and values of our citizens.

Our program is both culturally and environmentally relevant! S.T.E.A.M.ississippi specializes in designing and teaching project-based activities and providing hands-on learning to Expose, Inspire and Engage students in grades K – 12. Our S.T.E.A.M.ississippi instructors and mentors include STEAM college students and corporate volunteers. With hands-on assistance and care, students are afforded the opportunity to see themselves in their instructors, with the possibility of following in their mentors’ S.T.E.A.M.ississippi career footsteps.
